Wilderness Beach Lodge Accommodation On Fraser Island
Day 1
Depart Brisbane at 6:45am and travel north past the Glasshouse Mountain to the Noosa River Ferry and Cooloola Coast Beach. Arrive at Rainbow Beach for an early lunch (own cost) overlooking the coloured sands and surf before the ferry cruise to Fraser Island. 4wd Fraser Island's Seventy Five Mile surf beach to Lake Wabby and famous the sand blow for a swim, hike and turtle watch. Bush walk Melaluca forest before returning to Eurong Beach Resort and relax at the pool, spa or afternoon beach walk.
The resort offers a small convenience store, restaurant and bakery for meals. walk along Seventy Mile Beach, stargaze, and relax Fraser Island style.
Day 2
Early breakfast and drive through Fraser's magical rainforest before a relaxing morning at Lake McKenzie where you can swim, hike and photograph the scenery.
In the cool of the rainforest take the boardwalk at Central Station, see rare giant King Fern, world heritage setinay forest, and crystal clear waters of Wanggoolba Creek and Central Station old forestry headquarters - Kauri Pine and historical timber machinery
Out of the rainforest to Lake Jennings, Lake Birrabeen around the corner, swim relax and enjoy a fresh picnic lunch overlooking the lake. Birrabeen has the whitest sand, the clearest water - a true window lake. From here travel past Lake Benaroon to Lake Boomanjin - the Red Lake and largest Perched Lake in the world. Return to Seventy Five Mile Beach and 4wd to Rainbow Beach and onto Noosa and Brisbane.
