We are a leading importer/wholesaler to the Australian market providing our clients with the best serviceand products in the marketplace at the most competitive prices. We are nowseeking a Part-time Accounts Officer to join our team. Previousexperience working in a small to medium size company would be an advantage.Living in or around the South Brisbane area would also be an advantage. The Role:
- Keeping track of payments and expenditures, including purchase orders, invoices, statements and etc.
- Reconciling processed payments through verification of entries and other supporting documents to balances
- Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
- Preparing monthly BAS;
- Providing support in audit and tax preparation
- Reconciling accounts for intercompany transactions;
- Communicating with China office staff and custom clearance broker in Australia for importing goods from China and other oversea countries;
- Have an excellent understanding of tax compliance and ensuring legislative obligations are met
- Commercial properties management
- Continuous improvement of the payment process
Skills and Experience:
- Able to write and read Mandarin will be an advantage
- A minimum of 3 years' working experience in finance, accounting or similar qualification
- Strong understanding of MYOB or other accounting software
- Ability to operate autonomously with the ability to also work effectively in a team
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Possess strong communication and time management skills
- High level of accuracy and have high attention to detail
